In my humble opinion there are at least three types of spankings. Spanking for pleasure in a sexual sense...spanking for pleasure in a tension relief sense and spanking for punishment.

It can do two things , gets the spankee  in a submissive mind frame which allows me to let go and enjoy myself thus get really big orgasms.
